LyricsMirchi displays lyrics only when they are licensed, public domain or cleared by the rights holder. Here is how we decide, and what we do when the rights are unclear.
Three paths to publication
- Licensed: The rights holder has granted permission to reproduce the lyrics on this site.
- Public domain: The work is no longer under copyright in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Authorized source: We link to the official lyrics page and display only our original editorial description and analysis.
Demo content policy
The demo library shipped with this site is entirely fictional. Song titles, artist names and lyrics were written for demonstration and are licensed to the site under CC0. Any resemblance to real artists or songs is coincidental.
Corrections and removal
If you believe a lyric or credit is wrong, use the annotation form or contact the editorial team. Rights holders can request removal through the same channels, and we will respond promptly.
What we do not do
We do not scrape lyrics from other sites. We do not publish unverified transcriptions. We do not display full lyrics for songs we do not have rights to.
